MyRadar Pro is the premium version of MyRadar, offering the same exceptional features without any advertisements.
MyRadar is a highly efficient and user-friendly weather application that displays live animated weather radar based on your current location. Its ability to quickly provide a snapshot of upcoming weather conditions has contributed to its substantial success. By simply launching the app, you can instantly view animated live radar with up to two hours of radar loop lengths.
In addition to the live radar, MyRadar offers an extensive range of data layers related to weather and the environment. These overlay options include visually stunning representations of surface winds and jetstream level winds, high and low pressure systems, frontal boundaries, seismic activity reports, tropical storm and hurricane activity worldwide, aviation-related data like AIRMETs and SIGMETs, flight tracking, IFR flight plans, flight paths, and information on wildfires in the United States.
A remarkable feature of MyRadar is its ability to send weather and environmental alerts, including warnings from the National Weather Service for tornadoes and severe weather. The latest version has introduced an alert feature specifically designed for tropical storms and hurricanes. Users can configure the app to receive alerts whenever a tropical storm or hurricane forms, or experiences changes in intensity or status.
One of the standout features of MyRadar is its advanced rain alerts system, utilizing a patent-pending process that accurately predicts hyper-local rainfall. Instead of constantly checking the app, MyRadar proactively sends you an alert up to an hour in advance, specifying when the rain will reach your location down to the minute. The hurricane tracker provides additional data not available in the free version, including the cone of probability for tropical storm/hurricane forecast tracks and a detailed synopsis from the National Hurricane Center. Users can select specific radar stations across the United States, adjust radar tilt angle, and choose the type of radar product displayed, including base reflectivity and wind velocity.
